Automatic cyclones
Source position, wind and pressure stay automatic. Classification, view and monitoring can be overridden.
| System | Position | Intensity | View | Imagery | Status |
|---|
No automatic systems are currently available.
Custom monitoring
Add a coordinate and cyclone annotation without modifying upstream reports.
| Monitor | Position | Intensity | View | Imagery | State |
|---|
No custom monitors have been configured.
Shared SST / OHC view
One larger map presentation is applied to every automatic system and Custom monitor.
Products by satellite
Each satellite keeps an independent VIS, IR/IR-BD and WV drawing policy. MSG-0 and MSG-IODC default to 15 minutes; other satellites default to 10 minutes. Disabled channels are not downloaded.

Generator lifecycle
Stop a stalled generation cgroup, clear only its replaceable runtime files, or request a new cycle.

Maximum cycle runtime
The extended profile can intentionally skip the next ten-minute boundary.
A password confirmation is required for start, stop/clean and deadline changes. Runtime changes require the generator to be stopped.
Polling schedule
Choose how often the service checks NOAA M1/M2 sectors. A 20-second offset allows the latest scan to reach the public feed.

Changes are applied by the root control service. The target worker still renders only an enabled, currently covered cyclone.

Update schedule and map defaults
The daily UTC anchor sets the first run; shorter frequencies continue from it. Per-cyclone custom views remain unchanged.
Schedule and map layers
Set the UTC cadence and shared 50m map presentation for GPM, AMSR, SSMIS, ATMS and MHS products.

Update schedule and overlay defaults
Each map overlay is isolated. If a Cartopy boundary dataset fails during drawing, the image is still published after a no-overlay retry.
Page refresh
Control how often the cyclone list and Target Area imagery manifest are checked in the browser.
Background checks are silent and do not replace the displayed image when nothing has changed. The setting takes effect when TyInfo is next opened or reloaded.

The default cadence is every three hours from 00:35 UTC. Existing forecast images remain available if scheduling is disabled.

Each forecast hour is downloaded once per region, cached, and reused by all selected products. Forecast limits must use six-hour steps and cannot exceed 360 hours.

Runs continue from the UTC anchor at the selected frequency, with a fixed 35-second source-data offset.

All providers are enabled by default. USGS Volcano Catalog coordinates are fetched automatically only when USGS HANS is selected.

Runs are spaced evenly through the day from the selected UTC time. Current manifests and latest control files are preserved.

Frequency and update time control when generation starts. The IR background interval and time independently define the target synoptic slots; each image still reports the satellite's actual scan time.

Basin and active-system products use independent UTC systemd timers. System products may run every 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours.
